In circumstances where repair or modification requires work or parts not covered by the call-out charge, the engineer will provide you with a quotation for the additional cost involved and, with your permission, will proceed with the remedial work as soon as is practical (It may be necessary to defer work completion for a time in order to source the required parts).

If, in the opinion of the engineer, repair does not represent an economical proposition, he will advise you accordingly, quoting the repair cost envisaged, the cost of replacement options, any grants available and the advantages (e.g. savings on running costs) of the replacement option(s).
